Outside of machine learning, I’m an avid reader who enjoys books on entrepreneurship, psychology, and more. Here are a few I’d recommend:
- As a Man Thinketh (James Allen, 1902)
I believe each person may interpret this intellectually rich work at a different level of understanding. So I encourage you to read it carefully, perhaps more than once, to fully grasp it! - Think and Grow Rich (Napoleon Hill, 1937)
No introduction needed for this state-of-the-art! It’s Napoleon’s study of highly successful figures such as Andrew Carnegie, Henry Ford, and Thomas Edison, outlining a “Philosophy of Achievement” built around 13 core principles. - Attention Is All You Need (Ashish Vaswani, 2017)
This is a machine learning paper, not a book. I chose it because I deeply admire it; not only for introducing Transformers and explaining how the Attention Mechanism works, but also for a broader concept, which resonates far beyond the technical domain. - You Squared (Price Pritchett, 1994)
Don't miss this (little) book by Dr. Pritchett. It offers a powerful guide to rapid growth in both your personal and professional life. - The 5AM Club (Robin Sharma, 2018)
This book aims to help readers overcome mediocrity, build self-discipline, and utilize the quiet, early (magical!) hours for deep work and self-improvement. - Like a Wave We Break (Jane Marie Chen, 2025)
It is a memoir by Jane Marie Chen, the co-founder of a famous company, detailing her journey from burnout and a loss of identity after her company's failure to a quest for healing, confronting childhood trauma, and finding self-worth. The book is well written; its narrative feels deeply intimate and honest. - Secrets of The Millionaire Mind (T. Harv Eker, 2005)
It’s difficult to rank your favorite books, but this one is definitely among my top ten. A psychology-based enterproneorship book that explains how your subconscious (mainly formed in childhood) dictates your success (behavior!), and teaches you to reprogram it. - to be added...
